* LOCAL ELECTIONS: Big Sky had several elections this spring, election results are as follows:
Ophir School Trustees- [Three Year Term]- Loren Bough, Laura Michael [Two Year Term] Maggie Luchini;
Ophir General Fund Levy- Passed- 298 For- 148 Against;
Ophir Building Reserve Fund Mill Levy- Passed- 297 For- 148 Against;
Big Sky Fire District- two positions on the board were up for election- Carol Collins and Doug Gale were elected to fill the two vacant positions on the board.  

* FLYING TO BIG SKY???- Did you know several US Cities have direct flights to Bozeman? Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Salt Lake City, Denver, Minneapolis/St.Paul, Chicago, Detroit, and Atlanta.  For more information on direct flights or Gallatin Field, please visit the airport website at www.bozemanairport.com

* SPRING WEEDS- Now that the snow has begun to melt,  many of our not so friendly flora have started to sprout.  Please be proactive and begin your weed maintenance now while plants are easier to eradicate.  Looking for a professional who can help? The BSOA uses Little River Company for weed maintenance along all of the BSOA roadways.  They can be contacted at 406.995.2617 or check the Big Sky Chamber of Commerce business directory for additional service providers.

* THE BIG SKY COMMUNITY LIBRARY- Is open to both residents and visitors to the Big Sky area Sunday afternoons from 1-5pm, Mondays 10am-6pm, and Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 4pm-8pm.  It's located on Hwy. 191, 2.5 miles south of the Conoco at Ophir School.  Besides books, the collection includes DVDs, videos and audio books.  Computers and printers are available for public use.  Temporary check-out privileges are available.
