Law, insurance, land use, engineering, donor development, volunteer management, and a shared love of the outdoors create just the resume needed to continue the focused and successful development of parks, trails, and outdoor recreation in Big Sky. Board Of DirectorsEric Ladd - Director Eric moved to Big Sky in 1999 from Colorado. He worked at the Yellowstone Club for nine years and developed a strong passion for Big Sky and the surrounding Montana area. Eric believes the BSCC represents the future of Big Sky and is hopeful we can learn from other communities and mature into a world class town with top-flight amenities. Eric serves as commissioner of the popular Big Sky Softball League and organized a successful concert fundraiser in summer of 2007. | Jamy Patterson - DirectorAs Partner and Vice President of Boles Custom Builders, Inc, Jamy relocated to the Gateway area in 2001 after living in Colorado for 25 years. Married with two children, Jamy has always been active in his home communities including Telluride and Vail. Jamy brings experience in fundraising and construction project management to the Community Corporation and looks forward to leading this year’s campaign for the development of the Big Sky Community Park. (jpatterson@bcbi.net) | John Leeper - DirectorJohn currently resides in Bozeman, while owning a condo and operating a consulting practice here in Big Sky. He has an extensive educational background, highlighted by a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder and an MBA from American University. John’s occupational background includes over 30 years as a professional consultant in transportation and economics. John is very active in Big Sky, having served on the BSOA Trails Committee and currently serving on the Board of the Silverbow Owners Association and BSOAS. He sees a Big Sky that is transitioning into a major resort area, and he hopes to help Big Sky keep pace with this change while maintaining a distinctive Montana personality. (lcclj@aol.com) | Leslie Piercy - Director Originally from the North Shore of Chicago, community service and volunteerism has been a part of Leslie’s life for 30 years. From the Junior League and Mountaineering Clubs of Chicago to the Arts Council in Big Sky, Leslie is delighted to live in the Big Sky community where she can be an effective volunteer in many areas. As representative of the Arts Council of Big Sky, Leslie will provide important perspective as the Community Corporation works to raise money to build a performing arts facility at the park. Kevin is a member of the California and Montana Bar Associations with a specialty is homeowner association law. Kevin has served on the BSCC and BSOA Boards for several years. Kevin enjoys fishing and skiing, and is interested in the future of parks, trails and open space for the Big Sky area. (kevinlaw@sbcglobal.net) | Trever McSpadden - SecretaryTrever was born and raised in the Vail valley but has called Bozeman home for 13 years. As a land use planner, Trever is challenged to find a balance between the need for new residential and commercial development while recognizing the importance of maintaining open space for parks, trails, and recreation. Trever looks forward to working with the Board and the greater Big Sky community in the wise acquisition and development of the new park and additional trail linkages. When not at work, Trever can be found après ski in his Hill condo. (tmcspadden@m-m.net) | Clare Nixon - Treasurer Clare came to Montana in 2001 and started the First West Insurance office in Big Sky. She is involved in the Big Sky community with Rotary and the Chamber and is excited to apply her skills, enthusiasm, and knowledge of the insurance industry as well as love of the outdoors to the Community Corporation. Clare believes that our parks and trails system makes it possible for everyone to enjoy this beautiful area and hopes to improve the sustainability of our public assets.
