Board Of DirectorsJon Ayres - ChairpersonWith over fifteen years of experience in all aspects of community banking and financial services, Jon relocated to Big Sky in 2008 as the Assistant Vice President for First Security Bank. Jon spent the last 13 years in Wyoming and is a native to Colorado. Not a stranger to living in beautiful places, Jon is excited to have the opportunity to live and work in Big Sky.
Jon believes in actively participating in the betterment of the communities in which he lives. In addition to the BSCC board, he is currently active with the Parks Committee and the Rotary Club of Big Sky. Prior community involvement includes being an appointed member of the Cheyenne-Laramie County Regional Planning Commission and holding various board/chair positions with United Way, Junior Achievement, Ducks Unlimited, March of Dimes and the Chamber of Commerce. | Steve Johnson - Vice Chair Steve Johnson and his wife Jeanne retired full-time to Big Sky in 2001, after Steve's 29 year career with Accenture. Since living in Big Sky, Steve has become active as a volunteer with Big Sky Fire, Big Sky Search and Rescue, Big Sky Volunteer Ski Patrol, Big Sky Hikers, and BSCC Trails. Steve and Jeanne have four children: a daughter ranching in Wyoming with two grandchildren, a son in Bozeman, and two sons in Fort Collins, Colorado. | Trever McSpadden - Secretary Trever was born and raised in the Vail valley but has called Bozeman home for 13 years. As a land use planner, Trever is challenged to find a balance between the need for new residential and commercial development while recognizing the importance of maintaining open space for parks, trails, and recreation. Trever looks forward to working with the Board and the greater Big Sky community in the wise acquisition and development of the new park and additional trail linkages. She is involved in the Big Sky community with Rotary and the Chamber and is excited to apply her skills, enthusiasm, and knowledge of the insurance industry as well as love of the outdoors to the Community Corporation. Clare believes that our parks and trails system makes it possible for everyone to enjoy this beautiful area and hopes to improve the sustainability of our public assets. Since relocating to the Big Sky area, Will has been looking for an outlet for working with his community that lead to his interest in becoming a BSCC board member.

| Jim Jones - DirectorStay tuned for information on our newest director Jim Jones. | Eric Ladd - Director Eric moved to Big Sky in 1999 from Colorado. He worked at the Yellowstone Club for nine years and developed a strong passion for Big Sky and the surrounding Montana area. Eric believes the BSCC represents the future of Big Sky and is hopeful we can learn from other communities and mature into a world class town with top-flight amenities. Eric serves as commissioner of the popular Big Sky Softball League and organized a successful concert fundraiser in summer of 2007. He has an extensive educational background, highlighted by a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado, Boulder and an MBA from American University. John’s occupational background includes over 30 years as a professional consultant in transportation and economics. John is very active in Big Sky, having served on the BSOA Trails Committee and currently serving on the Board of the Silverbow Owners Association and BSOAS. He sees a Big Sky that is transitioning into a major resort area, and he hopes to help Big Sky keep pace with this change while maintaining a distinctive Montana personality. He retired from IBM a few years ago after a 30-year career, and since then he and his wife Jane spend their summers in Big Sky and winters in Arizona. While enjoying Big Sky's amazing summers, Al serves the board of the BSCC and chairs the Historic Crail Ranch Conservancy. Stop by the Ranch one day this summer and meet Al, and take a tour of Big Sky's earliest settlement. | Leslie Piercy - Director Originally from the North Shore of Chicago, community service and volunteerism has been a part of Leslie’s life for 30 years. From the Junior League and Mountaineering Clubs of Chicago to the Arts Council in Big Sky, Leslie is delighted to live in the Big Sky community where she can be an effective volunteer in many areas. As representative of the Arts Council of Big Sky, Leslie will provide important perspective as the Community Corporation works to raise money to build a performing arts facility at the park. She is currently the VP of regional Lodging for Big Sky Resort and Manager for four homeowners associations. She has served on the BSOA Board for 8 years and also serves on the local Big Brothers Big Sisters Board. She enjoys running, skiing and golfing. Living, working and raising a family in Big Sky, she feels it is her responsibility to get involved in the growth and development of our community. |
